Synopsis:

This course explores the concept of the Divinity of Jesus Christ (as), as understood from Christian theology. Whereas Christians believe that Jesus is the literal and Only Son of God, Muslims believe that he is a Prophet of God, just like other Prophets sent by God for the guidance of human beings. What do Muslims and Christians believe in specifically? What are the arguments in refutation of the Divinity of Jesus Christ (as) from an Islamic perspective? These questions are explored in this lecture series.

Lecture 1: Introduction to the Course
Lecture 2: 1st and 2nd argument in refutation of the Divinity of Jesus Christ (as). We consider, did Jesus (as) ever claim to be God?
Lecture 3: 3rd, 4th and 5th argument in refutation of the Divinity of Jesus Christ (as). All 3 arguments discussed today are derived from the Quran, 5:76.
